Assessing and Monitoring Interventions in Fragile Contexts
In many fragile and conflict-affected contexts, direct access to intervention areas may be limited. The Timbuktu Institute provides independent evaluation and Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) services to ensure reliable, ethical, and credible oversight of projects and programmes.
Our local teams are responsible for:
- collecting field data in line with conflict-sensitivity principles;
- analysing beneficiaries’ perceptions and the level of ownership of interventions;
- identifying emerging risks and evolving conflict dynamics.
These mechanisms strengthen accountability among development actors, enhance organisational learning, and support the continuous adaptation of interventions in contexts of uncertainty.
