Dr. Bakary Sambe is an international expert in conflict prevention, interreligious dialogue, and peace governance in Africa.
He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Lyon 2 (France) and is widely recognized for his work on religious dynamics, radicalization, and regional security in the Sahel and West Africa.
As the Founder and Executive Director of the Timbuktu Institute – African Center for Peace Studies, he has built the organization into a leading hub for research, strategic analysis, and policy advice serving governments, international organizations, and civil society actors.
A lecturer and researcher at Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis (Senegal), Dr. Sambe is the author of several influential publications on peacebuilding, social cohesion, and religion in contemporary Africa.
